Corporate
Training/Policies

COMERI has provided a series of corporate training and policies that are essential for employees to understand. Details appear below in bulleted form.

  • To learn more about training and policies related to time charging, see the time charging training module and completion form. This training is required of each new employee.

  • At COMERI, we prioritize a safe and professional work environment, free of sexual harassment. Training is required every two years, noting that our non-profit follows California's stringent sexual harassment policies and Corporate regulations. As found in the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission's (EEOC) fact sheet:

    • Unwelcome sexual advances, requests for sexual favors, and other verbal or physical conduct of a sexual nature constitute sexual harassment when this conduct explicitly or implicitly affects an individual's employment, unreasonably interferes with an individual's work performance, or creates an intimidating, hostile, or offensive work environment.

    • COMERI will not stand for unwelcome behavior, noting that employees are expected to report abuses and are protected from retaliation. For more details on our Corporate policy, see below.

    • Several documents related to sexual harassment exist in the Corporate record, including the following:

A note to new employees: Please complete these training modules within two weeks of starting at COMERI, providing signed documents to your direct supervisor. Training is covered by standard project funding (fifteen minutes for time charging training; two hours for sexual harassment training).
